Field Of Play

Field of Play (FOP) • Prior to warm ups make sure that deck is clean and safe with no tripping hazards • During warm ups, make sure that pace, sprint and para lanes are properly marked. Pylons on blocks • Assist with the backstroke ledges during warm ups as needed • Assist as Safety Marshals • After warm ups, clear the deck area around blocks of any equipment • Check proper placement of chairs and baskets for the start of each session • Make sure all stanchions are in place and haven’t been moved • Ensure that mats are in place for Para events • Assist IoTs with the installation of backstroke ledges. Troubleshoot any issues • For distance events, distribute bells to blocks and counters to turn end • If needed, sit in as reserve IoTs when not performing other duties.
